Imran Khatri draws on extensive experience in strategic financial management and infrastructure development as Founder of Volklec. Having held senior roles in banks and consultancy firms, he has successfully secured significant funding for large-scale infrastructure projects.
At Volklec, Imran is pioneering innovative battery manufacturing solutions, closely aligned with the UK’s net-zero transition. A passionate advocate for sustainability, he is pivotal in positioning Volklec at the forefront of the electric revolution.

Sameer Khatri
Founder

With more than 20 years of experience in oil trading and supply, Sameer Khatri leads Volklec as Founder. Having held senior positions at BP and Vitol, he has deep expertise in global energy markets and strategic supply chain management.
A former Ernst & Young Chartered Accountant, Sameer combines financial acumen with industry insight to drive Volklec’s innovative approach to battery manufacturing. Under his leadership, Volklec is disrupting the sector with fast-to-market, low-risk solutions.

As former Managing Director for the Automotive Business Unit of McLaren Applied, Shakeel played a key role in advancing high-performance electrification technologies. Head of Strategy

Nikki Rimmington has more than 25 years of experience in the automotive and battery sectors and is now shaping the strategic direction of Volklec as Head of Strategy.                                   

With a background in engineering, strategy, finance and product lifecycle planning, Nikki has held senior positions at Aston Martin and InoBat, driving major product and strategic initiatives. At Volklec, Nikki leads the company’s fast-to-market approach, leveraging proven technology to mobilise UK battery manufacturing.
